MOMENI Digital Ventures invests in Cologne-based start-up aedifion.

MOMENI Digital Ventures has acquired an interest in the leading smart building specialist as part of the seven-figure pre-Series A funding round. Other prominent strategic investors, including Drees & Sommer, BeyondBuild and Bauwens X, are participating alongside MOMENI. Seed round investors BitStone Capital and Phoenix Contact Innovation are also participants to the growth funding round. 

aedifion has been dedicated to the automated optimization of building technology since 2017. The Cologne-based company plans to use the new capital to accelerate the decarbonization of real estate portfolios using its advanced, AI-based software.

Juana M. Sacristán, Managing Director MOMENI Digital Ventures, sees huge potential in the development of aedifion: “Using aedifion’s plug-and-play cloud platform, building’s technical operations are automatically analyzed and ultimately optimized. Applying this solution saves tons of CO2 per building each year and often pays for itself within just a few months.” Tim Fischer FRICS, also Managing Director of MOMENI Digital Ventures, adds: “Action is urgently needed, so solutions such as aedifion’s, which can be implemented immediately and also used for retrofitting, are vital.”
